Bedtime

Lately I have been pushing my way into the big bed with all the other animals. It is a bit chilly in the house, I guess that is the way my humans like it. There is one really nice register in the bedroom that Sophie and I have been fighting over. I usually wait until she gets comfy and then I slide in on top and wiggle until she moves, or bites me. Either way I got my spot. But it just doesn't seem as fun any more, or quite warm enough so this is what I do. I wait until Sue Ann is in bed and Lily, Koda, and Brandy are up there too. Then I make a running jump onto the bed on the smallest spot possible next to Sue Ann. Sometimes Brandy barks at me and I have to try again, but once I'm up Sue Ann doesn't let anyone get to me...Ain't she sweet! Then I go through the tunnel of blankets until I am safely pass the growling dogs and right next to Sue Ann's butt. Awwww such warmth!!

Oops, I got Sick!

Well, I would like to tell you a story about a trip I took to Two Harbors, MN to visit Grandpa, Lana's dad. Lana is another human I live with. Sue Ann and Lana took me on a car ride. It was a VERY long ride and I guess I didn't start off too good. Sue Ann and I were in one car and Lana was in the other. I had to go potty really bad. I tried to tell Sue Ann by walking back and forth on her and squealing but she didn't get it, and well, I pooped on her...oops! We stopped on the side of the road where she removed some of the big chunks and she put me in the litter box in the back. Hmmm, I didn't know that was there. As we continued on, the trees kept speeding past. I couldn't stop looking at them....ooooh my tummy wasn't feeling so good. I tried to hide in the basket of clothes Sue Ann brought to wear. Oh my tummy, oops, I don't think she will be wearing that shirt. Sorry there goes the jeans. Maybe I'll crawl under Lana's leather jacket. Not again! Needless to say there wasn't much clean space in the back when we got to Grandpa's, AND I was so glad to be out of that car. We visited for a few days and then back in the car again. I started to throw up again, but then Lana drove and I sat in Sue Ann's lap the rest of the drive with my eyes closed. That helped a lot! I hope we don't have to do that again! One thing about making a big mess was that Sue Ann kept buying me new warm blankets. She is so very nice to me.

In the Beginning

Hello, My name is Frodo Baggipants. I was the newest addition to this human zoo until 4 days ago when Sue Ann, the one who feeds me, brought home two more turtles. She is telling everyone she rescued them, but I think she is just a sucker for a cute face. Not that these turtles are cute by any means. In fact Katrina, another human that I like to snuggle with, called one of the turtles Freddy Krueger because it has some really long front claws. The other turtles name is Butch.
Anyways, as I was saying, I was the newest addition. Sue Ann and Katrina brought me here almost 6 weeks ago. I came from the Misti Rose Ranch, where I was born on August 1, 2010. There were a lot of animals at the ranch too, but humans kept coming and giving them new homes. My first human, Misti, called me Dermot, but for some reason Sue Ann and Katrina thought I looked like a "Frodo Baggipants". I like the name because I heard it was the name of a famous Veggie Tales adventurer (and maybe some other hobbit from long ago)! My mom's name is Emma and my dad's name is Snorks. They both still live with Misti. I do have my step sister Sophie with me at this human zoo. She was born June 30, 2010. Her mom's name is Shelby. She is older than me so she thinks she can push me around, okay maybe it's because she is more than 20 pounds heavier than I am. The part I don't like the most is when Sophie pushes me away from my favorite register, especially when the heat comes on. That nose of hers just picks me up and pushes me away. She does keep me pretty warm once she settles down though.
Well, I do have a lot more to tell you about my other humans and the rest of the zoo, but since I don't have fingers and thumbs Sue Ann is to do the typing and she has to finish her homework.
Bye for Now!!!
